Español III es una continuación de los primeros dos años del estudio de español. La clase dura un semestre. Todos tratamos hablar español. No debes ser perfecto pero debes tratar.

Course Description:

This course will develop and strengthen the students’ linguistic proficiency and cultural sensitivity. This will be achieved through writing, purposeful listening, reading activities, and daily conversation in Spanish. Students will have the opportunity to test for college credit b taking the CLEP test in the spring.

Course Objectives:

Upon completion of this course students will be able to:

• Demonstrate improved pronunciation and recognition of spoken Spanish
• Read, comprehend, and express themselves with increasingly complex sentence structures and vocabulary.
• Apply rules for the present indicative, preterit, imperfect, future, haber for compound tenses.
• Demonstrate an understanding of culture in Spanish speaking cultures and the student’s own culture.

Start at about unit 4, go to an easier unit if that is too hard. Click on the Vocabulary tab at the top of the page, choose a topic to learn. Complete 2 vocabulary units in a week. Email your quiz and test results to me.

http://www.lanacion.com.ar/ Choose at least one article each week from La Nación  newspaper site with news from Argentina. Print an article and write a short summary of it in English. Turn in the article in Spanish along with your English summary.
